Time Will Fly - A Poem By Reese Garza

You and I, we are meant to die.

Do not cry, for time will fly, And each of us will fall.

One by the lake, One in a trap, One by a berry, One the waters flooded, One by a fire, One by a greedy desire.

Some of us go, go to soon. Some of us stay, stay too long.

Some of us never, never come. Some of us take, take a life.

And each of us, our path we must, Accept it’s ours, and count our hours…

The leaves will fall, But some will not see them at all.

The flowers will bloom, But some have already met their doom.

The lightning will flash, But some have died by a slash.

The birds will fly, But see? We are ready to die.
